Kate Burton
A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Kate Burton is the daughter of famed actor Richard Burton.
On Broadway, Kate Burton has appeared in productions of ?Alice in Wonderland,? ?The Beauty Queen of Leenane,? ?An American Daughter,? ?Company,? ?Jake?s Women,? ?Some American?s Abroad,? garnering a Drama Desk nomination, ?Wild Honey,? ?Doonesbury,? and ?Present Laughter,? winning a Theatre World Award. Off-Broadway, she has been seen in ?London Suite,? ?Measure for Measure,? and ?Winners.? On the regional circuit, Burton has appeared in ?The Matchmaker,? and ?The Rivals,? both in Williamstown, and in ?Arcadia,? at the Mark Taper.
On television, Burton?s roles have included the title role in ?Alice in Wonderland,? (1983), starring opposite her father, and turns in "The Practice," "Ellen Foster," "Love Matters," "Ellis Island," "Evergreen," "Home Fires," and "Notes For My Daughter," winning an Emmy.
A Counselor at Actors' Equity Association, Burton continues to appear on stage and in a growing list of high profile films including ?The Ice Storm,? (1997), and ?Celebrity,? (1998).
