Philip Bosco has received multiple Emmy nominations for his work in "An Inspector Calls," "The Rape of the Belt," "The Devil's Disciple," "You Never Can Tell," "Heartbreak House," "Saint Joan," "Man and Superman," "The Miser," "Misalliance," and "The Bacchae." For his performance in "Lend Me A Tenor," Bosco received a Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics award.

Among his other stage credits, Bosco has been seen in "The Heiress," "Whose Life Is It Anyway," "Donnybrook", "Breaking Legs," "Some Men Need Help," "Major Barbara," "A Man for All Seasons," "Master Class," "Come Back Little Sheba," "Hedda Gabler," "Don Juan in Hell," "Inadmissible Evidence," "A Month in the Country," "Measure for Measure," "Streamers," "Mrs. Warren's Profession," "Richard III," "Henry V," and "The Threepenny Opera."

At the regional level, Bosco has participated in nine productions at the American Shakespeare Festival and sixteen productions at the Arena Stage.

In 1988, Bosco received an Obie Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theater.
