Patriots, The

"The Patriots" is Sidney Kingsley's ("Men In White," "Dead End," "Detective Story") dramatic re-telling of the bitter discord between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton in the early days of the Republic. The play focuses on the conflict between the political and social goals of these two brilliant men: Jefferson, the far-sighted and egalitarian-minded democrat and Hamilton, the short-tempered federalist with limited faith in the common man.
